When you apply weight to the shoe, the BUGrip studs recede into the rubber sole. The more weight you apply, the more the studs recede. On slick surfaces like ice, snow, and mud, they stay protruded for better bite. On paved ground they sink in, and on mixed surfaces the studs work independently to provide correct traction on whatever they contact. The MR BUGrip Shoes PU-coated nubuck uppers repel water, while their mesh linings wick the moisture your foot creates.
