Hey Jay

Both are great bikes that are efficient climbers and capable descenders. I'd have to say though that they are both intended for different purposes. The Evolve is more of a cross-country slayer while the RIP is built to be an all-mountain steed capable of anything.

The RIP's suspension is more capable and the ride is comfortable and predictable. Not to discount the Evolve by any means because it's a great bike, but if I had to choose between the two I'd pick the RIP for its versatility.
