I was fully aware of the issues and Salomon's recall of all Quest boots with Tech fittings, but neglected to post a followup here. My bad. There were less than a hundred pairs in the wild and most were had by media and athletes, so the recall has been pretty coordinated and small-scale. But, if you have a pair of these boots, they are to be returned to Salomon. Looking at Lou's post (above), it really gives you the willies--especially considering the injuries sustained in the tragic accident. Thanks for the update, Kelly. The walk mode is out-of-this-world flexible for a burly boot. I'm really looking forward to touring with these and getting in some frontside turns as well.
