Adidas eyewear has made serious inroads into cycling with a handful of models suited for both mountain and road biking. The Zonyk Aero Pro is a prototypical pair of cycling shades with enough unique features to help them stand out among the rest.

Pro-level sunnies for the masses
Ridden by top teams in the pro peloton, Adidas Eyewear has a variety of sunglasses that are built for cycling. Here we’re talking about the half-rim Zonyk Aero Pro shades and they have been quick to impress on the singletrack and tarmac.
The surface afea of the Zonyk Aero Pro lenses is just what I’d expect from a quality pair of cycling sunglasses. I’d call them just right, actually. Lenses are easily-detached, should you need to swap them out. Looks are excellent (I think) and particularly with white frames. I’m admittedly a sucker for white frames and find that most of my cycling sunnies are white. It’s a versatile color that goes with any helmet, so that’s what I always choose. Further, the frames are a nice matte finish with white-on-white logos.
Temple length is just a touch shorter than typical and that allows them to play well with a variety of road and mountain helmets with or without a cycling cap. That alone is huge as many times I can’t seem to get my shades to play well with some helmets.
While out on the road or trail, the Zonyk Aero Pro’s stay put and tend to disappear. Even when sweaty, they don’t slide down, so kudos to the selection of rubber as it works well. As mentioned, the nose pads are adjust able to narrow or wide settings, so that bodes well for a variety of noses.
With these lenses, you’ll enjoy unobstructed, crystal-clear vision everywhere you look. The over-the-shoulder looks are unimpeded and fast action on narrow singletrack is always clearly seen. They clean up easily — with the exception of the reinforced nose bridge that covers the inside of the lens. I’ll add that I’m not very protective of my sunglasses. I mistreat them all equally and most come out just fine. These have developed a scratch on the lower-front of the lenses somehow. Luckily, it’s mostly out of my line-of-sight, so it’s no biggie, but I should take better care of these.

With solid field-of-vision and optical clarity, the Zonyk Aero Pro sunglasses do really well for both road and mountain biking. I’ve appreciated how comfortable they are during multi-hour rides as well as the excellent protection they provide.
