Jeep 48STRAIGHT Tour Hits The Canyons Resort, Utah

Jeep 48STRAIGHT Dual Slalom Tour Hits The Canyons Resort

Looking for something to do this weekend? Still got the Dew Tour hangover from last weekend here in Salt Lake City? Look no further than the cool temps of nearby Park City where at The Canyons Resort, some of the top dual slalom mountain bike racers will be showing off their best airs and strong elbows on their way to claim their share of the $100,000 in prize money that will be doled out.

I’m not sure exactly where the race course will be set up, but I’m guessing the lower mountain will be transformed for all to see. Look for all the big names to be there including Eric Carter, Kyle Strait, Rich Houseman, Steve Peat, Greg Minnaar, Fionn Griffiths and more.

The course is open to pro and semi-pro riders only with the ability for anyone to make it into the finals. The Open Qualifier will be held on Friday, Sept. 19 with a cap of 75 men and 25 women. Finals will take place at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Lots of other festivities will take place at The Canyons during the two days of the Jeep 48STRAIGHT event including the Scott-sponsored 48STRAIGHT Cyclocross with a 12:00 pm start-time on Saturday as well.

Post-event party will include a performance by the band Rogue Wave.
