Now with all the trappings for a modern XC whip, the Niner Bikes Air 9 RDO just got significant upgrades from top-to-bottom. What was once an XC racing thoroughbred has been updated to be long/low and with geometry built to accept either a 100 or 120mm fork. Both options benefit from updated hub spacing, improved cable routing and slacker geometry all-around.
Notably, the seatpost has been reduced to the 27.2mm road standard, thus increasing comfort by adding calculated deflection. Niner’s Carbon Compaction techniques have been utilized to further clean up the frame layup — dropping 125 grams in the process.

The new dropout standards allow for single-speed or geared options out of the gate and no front derailleur mount at all — this is a dedicated 1x rig if you go geared. Hallelujah.
