Garmin Killer? Wahoo ELEMNT GPS Bike Computer is Now Shipping

When the Wahoo ELEMNT was announced last September, we all perked up. While the GPS-enabled bike computer market is owned by Garmin, several other players are vying for an opportunity to chip away at the armor. Wahoo has a great track record of doing bike computers the smart way (vis-à-vis RFLKT+).

While Wahoo announced the ELEMNT last year, the product didn’t start shipping until earlier this month. All pre-orders are being fulfilled as we speak. Direct sales on have begun and local bike shops will have them for you to see/touch soon. The Apple Store will even start carrying the ELEMNT as well.

This new bike computer looks bulky compared to a curvy Garmin, but the simplicity of setup and powerful configuration may just tip the balance of power. It’s cool to see some real innovation in this market.
