Black Diamond Presents “The Big LePowSki” Feb 26-28, 2009

In celebration of the “down”, Black Diamond is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the best part about skiing… the downhill part. Especially the super-deep and fluffy-light downhill. In conjunction with several sponsors and atheltes alike, The Big LePowSki will be a fun-filled and laid-back event for backcountry skiers and snowboarders to rub shoulders with a handful of athletes and ski legends while checking out the latest gear from Black Diamond.

Festivities start Thursday, Feb 26 with the Backcountry Film Festival, then a Friday night pre-registration party and athlete mingle leads us into the on-snow festivities set for Saturday. See full schedule of events

Guided tours and courses will be taught by the likes of Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Andrew McLean, Chris Davenport, John Griber, Jen Berg, Brett Crabtree, Neil Provo, Hilaree Nelson O’Neill, Callum Pettit, Julian Carr, Andy Jacobsen & more.

Daytime festivities are happening at Brighton with a DJ spinning mad tunes all day long, a variety of educational classes being taught and an avalanche beacon search area to test your skills.
