Go Wide With ENVE SES 3.4 AR Wheels

Jason MitchellBy Jason MitchellApril 4, 2019No Comments2 Mins Read

ENVE is no stranger to innovation when it comes to carbon wheels. Their wheelsets remain some of the most sought-after on the market and they are now stepping up their game for modern all-road disc-brake bikes in a lower-profile rim — the ENVE SES 3.4 AR.

The taller, SES 4.5 AR’s were introduced in 2016 and are the top-selling model in ENVE’s lineup. Expanding that wide, hookless, tubeless-only, disc-brake platform makes sense for riders looking for a shallower, more stable rim. ENVE has optimized the new SES 3.4 AR’s for 28-32mm tires, with a 28mm aerodynamic sweet-spot. And, at 25mm internal width, these new wheels make ENVE’s G23 gravel wheels look skinny.

Brandt Furgerson, VP of Commercial at ENVE adds the following on the new SES 3.4 AR’s:

“The SES 3.4 AR comes in response to the requests from our customers who love the SES AR platform but desired a wheelset that was shallower, delivered greater versatility, and maximized weight savings. In other words, the people wanted an SES 3.4, but with the features and benefits inherent to the SES AR platform. Moreover, the SES 3.4 AR, despite its greater width and Wide Hookless Bead design, comes in at the same weight as the standard SES 3.4 Disc.”

These new wheels are available now from your local ENVE dealer, or at ENVE.com.
