When it comes to the typical Red Bull events, we’re talking jaw-dropping hits, cliffs or stunts that leave each of us stunned or mortified. But, there’s one Red Bull contest that everyone, young and old, can be a part of. That event is Red Bull Illume Image Quest.
This year’s contest was open for photo submissions from December 1, 2012 until Apirl 30, 2013. During that period, nearly 30,000 images were submitted. Those images were narrowed down to 250 and then judged by photo editors and experts from 50 international media outlets. The judges then narrowed them down to 5 images from 10 different categories and those 50 photos were then blown up and taken on the road for a nighttime exhibition.
Blown up and displayed in 10×10 illuminated light boxes, the exhibition opened in Hong Kong by announcing the overall winner on August 29 followed by 15 days of public viewing.
The tour then went to Scottsdale, AZ Nov 14-24, 2013. The next shows will be in Vancouver, Canada with the final exhibition to be held in Atlanta, GA. Admission is free for all ages to attend the upcoming events.
