    Craft EB Attack Jersey Review

Jason MitchellBy Jason MitchellAugust 19, 2014No Comments3 Mins Read

Craft cycling apparel has solid history in the pro peloton and all that learning has resulted in one of the best summer-weight jerseys I’ve worn. The Elite Bike Attack Jersey is supremely porous and mighty comfortable for hot summer rides.

Craft Elite Bike Attack Jersey Features:

    • Silicone print at back bottom hem keeps the jersey in place
    • Ergonomic construction for a perfect riding-position fit
    • Extremely lightweight mesh fabric with hexachannel fibers for excellent moisture transport and cooling
    • Elastic wing-panel construction provides optimal freedom of movement and aerodynamics
    • Hole in back pocket for MP3/headset wire
    • Four back pockets (one zippered)
    • Full front zipper
    • Reflective prints
    • Sublimated design
    • MSRP: $105

The EB Attack Laughs off Summer Heat

While many companies say their black material is just as cooling as other colors, Craft shows it with the incredibly porous EB Attack Jersey. As a great match to the EB Tech Bibs, this jersey has been on some steamy rides and is always my first choice for mid-day rides.

Again, the mesh fabric sheds moisture with aplomb and the high volume of wind penetrating through the fabric really cools the body — unzipping further improves this. Moisture simply doesn’t build up inside this jersey and it dries in a jiffy. For both road and mountain biking, this jersey really performs well.

Craft EB Attack Jersey Review - The Best Summer Jersey I Own

The fit is definitely race-style as the size Large fit me perfectly snug — not to tight, but no loose areas either. Carrying capability of the Attack Jersey may be one of the only downsides as the unstructured fabric tends to have difficulty carrying heavier or bulky items very well. Things like multi-tools, tended to shift around more than I’d like.

With grippy silicone at the back hem, the jersey tended to stay put very well. Having some in the front might not be a bad idea either, but as-is, things stayed put. I love the wide sleeve cuffs and felt they sat nicely on my arms without cutting off circulation or getting uncomfortable in the saddle. The collar is a great height and diameter as well and never felt tight.

I will say that unzipping (at least from the top) almost always required two hands — luckily, I didn’t have to do that very often.

    The Good

    • Super silly breathable
    • Arms fit very comfortably
    • The best summer-weight jersey I’ve worn
    • Overall fit is perfect

    The Bad

    • Pockets lack structure
    • Zippered pocket is nice, but small

    The Bottom Line

If you are into mid-day rides then you really should give the Craft EB Attack Jersey a hard look. The black/red color scheme goes well with any black bibs you have and the supreme breathability of the lightweight mesh fabric has these as my top choice for hot summer riding.
