Wahoo Fitness ELEMNT GPS Cycling Computer

Jason MitchellBy Jason MitchellSeptember 15, 2015No Comments2 Mins Read

The Wahoo Fitness RFLKT+ has been impressive so far this summer. With an easy-to-use companion app, it is simple to use and personalize. Stepping things up a notch, Wahoo has announced their new ELEMNT GPS cycling computer that will compete head-to-head with the 500 lb gorilla — Garmin.

What sets the ELEMNT apart from the competition is the companion app. True-to-form, Wahoo has developed a simple and powerful way to interact with the GPS unit. Simply load the ELEMNT app on your smartphone and configure everything in a jiffy as well as wirelessly connect via Bluetooth Smart.

Of course the ELEMNT will feature ANT+, Bluetooth Smart and WiFi so you never have to physically connect the device to sync ride data with all popular platforms (Strava and those other guys). As an added bonus, the ELEMNT will also wirelessly control the KICKR indoor trainer — just in time for winter months.

Wahoo ELEMNT features:

  • GPS-enabled as a standalone cycling computer
  • High-contrast DayBright display
  • Uses ELEMNT smartphone app for configuration
  • Three mounting options included
  • Configurable LED
  • Turn-by-turn capability
  • Integrates with popular third-party cycling sites
  • Built-in ANT+, Bluetooth Smart and WiFi
  • Wireless syncing
  • USB rechargeable battery
  • 16 hr battery life
  • MSRP: $329.99

That passion is channeled into every article or gear review he writes. Utah's Wasatch Mountains are his playground.
