Skiing Mt. Superior: A Video by Piton Productions

Jason MitchellBy Jason MitchellJanuary 23, 20091 Comment1 Min Read

Our good friend and accomplished videographer, Derek Weiss of Piton Productions, has been at it again… filming awesome ski footage with his remote-controlled helicopter. The fact that this guy hauls an RC heli up the side of a mountain is beyond me. Not only does he do it, but he’s typically at the front of the pack, pushing the pace.

Every video he’s produced has been inspiring, clean and fresh-feeling.  His ability to capture the moment makes you feel like you’re there and the editing is always spot-0n.

Skiing Mt. Superior is a sphincter-tightening exercise. The terrain is steep and exposed–not for the faint of heart. I think this video captures the essence of the peak and the thrill of the accomplishment. Standing on that knife-edge gets your blood flowing and watching this video brings back memories.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Jason quickly developed a love for the outdoors and a thing for mountains. That infatuation continues as he founded this site in 1999 -- sharing his love of road biking, mountain biking, trail running and skiing. That passion is channeled into every article or gear review he writes. Utah's Wasatch Mountains are his playground.

Piton Productions does some amazing work. The helicopter sequences are insane. Here is some mountain biking footage.
