Need to Step Up Your Game? Try Warren Miller’s Red Helmet

Jason MitchellBy Jason MitchellOctober 31, 2008No Comments1 Min Read

Where’s my red helmet? It’s got to be around here somewhere. Maybe it’s clanging around in the back of my Subaru with all my bike gear? Nope. Maybe it’s in the basement? Nope.

I love this video from Warren Miller. Typically, we speak of Kodak Courage for those who step it up for film shoots, but I like Red Helmet Courage much better. Everyone needs something to drive them to push their limits. Maybe it’s upping the tempo on your trail run, or maybe it’s pushing yourself a little harder on the singletrack, or maybe it’s dropping into the deepest untracked powder of your life. Whatever limits you’re pushing… looks like you will need that red helmet.

That infatuation continues as he founded this site in 1999 -- sharing his love of road biking, mountain biking, trail running and skiing. The combination of outdoor experience and technical savvy gives him a unique perspective that is channeled into every gear review. Utah's Wasatch Mountains are his playground. He rigorously tests every product and usually uses them beyond their intended purpose -- just for the sake of testing. (Note: Jason receives sample products in exchange for authentic reviews. He is not paid, nor influenced to share anything other than his honest opinions.)
