With all my griping about motorcycles tearing up the trails in my beloved American Fork Canyon, it’s time to step up and do some trailwork. Local trail advocates, Utah Rocky Mountain Bikers have organized a trail work day in conjunction with the US Forest Service. The goal is to re-route the mud bog section of South Fork Deer Creek Trail in a way that will service all user groups.
Representatives from all major user groups are planning to be involved as these much-needed improvements are carried out. I’m looking forward to the finished product as we will all benefit from a more sustainable and rideable trail–all season long. Step up and pitch in to improve this awesome trail.
NOTE: Due to all the rain we’ve received, the trail day has been moved a week to June 27.

Time: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Location: South Fork Deer Creek Trail
Tools will be provided by the US Forest Service, but gloves, hats, sunscreen and any other tools will be appreciated.

I just got word that they are moving the trailwork to June 27. Hopefully the rain stops and we can actually get up there! Stay tuned!
