The legendary Colnago brand has always been known for two things: winning races and wallet-busting prices. But, like any high-end product, you get what you pay for. The all-new Colnago G4-X replaces the G3-X and is actually offered in several attainable complete build kits. As their race-focused gravel bike, the G4-X is also Colnago’s cyclocross offering, which further confirms the responsive nature of the design. In fact, while the changes are mere millimeters in relation to the G3-X, all those changes were to make it more aggressive and fall in line with their V4Rs aero road bike that seemingly wins ever race on the WorldTour. While it is definitely racy, tire clearance has been increased to 45mm to add comfort/capability and there are now four mounting points for bottles and a top tube bag.
As you can see, the differences between the G3-X, C68 Gravel and G4-X are subtle, but noticeable in these overlays. The C68 is definitely more forgiving and stable in comparison and the updates over the G3-X do steepen the head angle and increase the reach a little bit.
