The Cannondale SuperSix EVO demands respect. With this year’s re-design, the SuperSix EVO remains at the forefront of racing bikes. Disc brakes and an all-new frame were just the start because Cannondale now has an e-bike option that can take the SuperSix EVO even further. Today, Cannondale pulls the wraps off the SuperSix EVO Neo and tosses their hat into the ring of recent e-Road superbikes.
The $10,000 SuperSix EVO Neo 1 tips the scales at 24.9 lbs (large), which is about 9 lbs. more than the top-of-the-line SuperSix EVO. And, like the latest e-Road bikes from Pinarello, Colnago, Orbea and others, the SuperSix EVO Neo looks like a proper road bike, but has a 20mph motor hidden inside the rear hub.
You’ll notice that the downtube is noticeably larger than the SuperSix EVO. With that girth, the Neo houses its battery. There is a charging port near the bottom bracket and and power controls on the top-tube. A targeted mobile app also provides insight into training, configuration and performance. Still, only the astute eye can tell the difference between the SuperSix EVO and SuperSix EVO Neo because the power is hidden in the rear hub.
