Lightweight, long-sleeve trail jersey
For many rides, a long-sleeve jersey is the way to go. With just enough added trail and sun protection, the POC MTB Pure LS Jersey makes it easy to prove its worth. The Pure LS entered the testing rounds in August for some warm afternoon rand cool morning rides. It’s a nice-fitting mesh jersey with some added touches that are worth highlighting.
For starters, the fit is excellent — with just enough added hem and sleeve length for coverage. And, the collar is just stretchy enough to put on, but not so stretchy as to get pulled wide while wearing a hydration pack or armor. Speaking of armor. POC has cut the Pure LS for their light armor underneath, but you still may need to size up. For me, the medium fit perfectly without armor, but I would have needed a large if body armor was in my future.
The Pure LS does fit quite well and feels natural on the bike. Sleeve coverage is maintained under all conditions and that drop hem keeps your backside in check. In addition, that small zippered pocket is great for ID, credit card or a few bucks. I rode with a SIS gel in there for kicks and giggles and it wasn’t terrible, but I’d stick with cards or cash.
The raglan sleeves ensure added comfort when wearing a hydration pack. And, the softball jersey styling is always a good look. It looks great on and off the trail. It has been durable thus far and I haven’t taken any special care of it when it comes time to wash. It just goes in with the rest of our family’s laundry.
Fit: I’m 5’11” and 170 lbs — the medium fits perfectly. But, if I wanted to use armor, I’d size up.

For casual MTB rides or as a lightweight all-mountain jersey, the POC MTB Pure LS is a great one to have for all-season use. I really appreciate the added sleeve and hem length and the structured collar that doesn’t get stretched out.
