Zipp 3Zero Moto Wheels
Zipp’s first mountain bike wheelset in over 20 years has a lot to talk about. For starters, these carbon wheels don’t use traditional, box-section rim designs. Instead, it’s a single-wall rim that’s optimized for tubeless tires aboard today’s trail/enduro bikes. With a generous 30mm internal width, the 3Zero Moto’s are built around a hookless design and will feature a full lifetime warranty under intended use. One of the benefits of the 3Zero Moto’s construction is what Zipp calls “Ankle Compliance.” This means that the rim itself rotates laterally to absorb impacts. And, monitoring tire pressure will get even easer with the built-in Quarq TyreWiz pressure meters on each wheel.
The 3Zero Moto is available as rims and complete wheelsets for both 29 and 27.5 flavors — wheelset pricing is $1999 for the set.
