Niner MCR RDO Gravel Bike
Full-suspension bikes are everywhere, but not so much on gravel bikes. Niner has been teasing the MCR for years, but the stars are aligning as this new platform appears even closer to production. In fact, I’m told that the MCR is looking like a late-2019 intro.
The MCR features 50mm suspension travel front/rear using gravel-optimized CVA suspension design. It will also feature RDO-level carbon layup along with clearance for 700x50mm or 650Bx2.0″ tires. And, this is not just a mountain bike with drop bars — that’s something that’s easy and has already been done. No, this is a ground-up, gravel-optimized drop-bar bike with all the handling and suspension characteristics you’d expect from a bike that’s meant to roll on chattery gravel for hundreds of miles.
