Utah offers the most accessible ski resorts in the country. With Salt Lake City International Airport a scant 30 minutes from several resorts, many people can fly in and ski on the same day–I’d just like to see you try that elsewhere. And, for us locals, the proximity of so many world-class resorts and world-famous Utah powder is definitely a huge selling point.
Within an hour drive from my home, there are six world-class ski resorts. Within two hours, there are four more. Yes, living in Utah does have its privileges and bottomless Utah powder is near the top of that list.
Every year, Utah’s ski resorts make improvements (large and small) to make the skiing and snowboarding experience better and better. They are offering more and more locals-only discounts and attractions as well as special offers for those traveling here on vacation. Colorado is a great place to ski, don’t get me wrong, but Utah boasts better snow and a much closer proximity to an international airport. So, if you’re thinking about a ski vacation this winter, check out what’s new at Utah’s ski resorts and be sure to bring a snorkel when you come.
